Whether you have never worked in the electrical industry or have some experience but feel you need to further you education in the industry to learn the theory and application of electrical work, the Tidewater Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee can provide the education you need to become a well rounded journeyman wireman. The TJATC apprenticeship is a 5 year apprenticeship where you work side by side with seasoned journeyman wiremen on projects throughout the Hampton Roads and northeastern North Carolina. You attend classroom related training in the evening. This program, unlike the community college system, is an "earn while you learn" program, providing on the job, hands on training and competitive wages and benefits as you progress through your apprenticeship.
